I only work half a day yesterday because we were going to go camping with Carson's parents but tires were more money then we had. So we decided to go to the beach for the afternoon instead. We got down there and the clouds had rolled in. And because it was like 80 degrees here when we left I didn't even think about taking a jacket for Irie. We went to the outlet mall and bought Irie a thin little jacket at Carters. Then we headed over to the mall area. We went into The Candyman to get some salt water taffy.

Next we went to the carousel which Irie loved. Carson went with her the first time around.

Next I went with her, and as the ride was ending all she was saying was "Again. Again. Again." And when i went to take her off she had a death grip on the bar. I had to almost peel her off.

We were headed back to the car to get the sand toys. When I said that I would like to play some Skee-ball, and Carson said lets go. And for those of you who have not been to the arcade at Seaside lately, the games no longer run off of quarters. You have to get a special card, (much like a hotel room key or your Safeway club card.) that you load with $ via cash or credit/debit card. It was weird. So I loaded my card with a whole $3.00 and that lasted for 1 game of basketball and 5 games of Skee-ball. But it was still fun.

Irie stole the ball to roll it down the ally (?) (Is that what it is called?) she thought it was funny.

When we finally made it to the sand and let her walk the first thing out of her mouth was "My feet dirty."

She tripped just as we made it to the wet sand.

Loved playing in the water but since it was cold I didn't let her play long. Instead i distracted her with her sand toys. She was "makin sand castles."

We were trying to go to the aquarium so we were trying to get her to hurry. We asked it she needed help and she kept saying "I do I self". So we were trying to get her to look at thing that were closer to the aquarium, like this hole that some one had dug. (the picture doesn't do it justice.)

There were people still digging this hole but they were nice enough to get out of the hole so we could take a picture.

Then there were the swings.

Then we FINALLY made it to the aquarium, 5 minutes before they closed. We fed the sea lions. They have some serious personality. Carson tossed some food to the one on the walkway and one in the water slapped his fin against the water as if to say "what about me. I'm here too." it was cute.

And because they were closed by the time we went in to the rest of the aquarium we had it all to our self. I didn't remember it being THAT
small. So it only took like 5 minutes to go through and the staff was nice enough to let us take our time. We finished at the aquarium and headed to Cannon Beach so we could go to Mo's for dinner. It was delicious like always. It was a really fun evening.
