Happy Birthday, Dad
It's hard to believe it's already the 12th of August which means it's Dad's 86th birthday. Hope he and Mom are having a grand celebration. Happy Birthday Dad!
I thought many times today about it being Dad's birthday, but never stopped to figure out how old.
BTW...Next week is Wes and Elna's 70th anniversay. It is hard to believe that Dad was only 70 when he passed and Wes and Elna have been married for 70 years! (Oh...I think I just felt another grey hair pop out of my bald head.)
I was working in the park today and turned around. There was a speckled fawn standing about four feet from me chewing on the grass. There wasn't a doe around that I could see. I went on working and the fawn just stayed there. I couldn't help but think of the trips to Ecola State Park and the deer we saw there and now much Dad loved it. It has to be a grand celebration with both Mom and Dad there as well as grandparents (many generations) and other family members there.
Have a Happy Birthday Dad and a belated one to Mom. I must be getting into old habits, it seems as though I was late most of the time for Mom's birthday.
I am in Auburn tonight and returning to Grayland Beach tomorrow.
Acutally I think they have probably been having a big party for each event over the last year!!! I agree - Happy Birthday Dad!!!
