Jakes Disney Birthday Trip

So as some of you may know my gift to jake for his 7th birthday before his mom packs him up and moves him further north to Bellingham WA which is right near the Canada border was a fun filled week long trip to Souther California and 3 full days at the disney theme parks. We arrived last monday about around noon at long beach airport where a buddy of mine picked us up and took us to huntington beach and newport beach jake had a lot of fun playin in the water. Tues-thurs was the real fun bouncing back and forth from california adventures to disneyland. wed the park hit a 102 degrees which kept the lines down and in the course of 13 hours jake and i hit 21 rides. His official favorite ride is the haunted mansion. Mine of course is still pirates of the caribbean. we were both pretty bummed that we had to return to WA friday night :( but it was a fun fill trip none the less as I myself havent been to disneyland since I was 5.

  1. It's a bummer that Tina is moving him further north, but it will make the time you get with him even more special. I'm glad you went to Disneyland and had a great time. I must say I tend to agree with Jake. I like the haunted mansion as well, but there was something about Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. Oh, what the heck, it's all a blast. Can't wait to go.

  2. yeah it does suck but agreed the whole park is a blast minus disney toon town what a crock they need to put something new in there also from what ive told they are working on another new section off to the side of california adventures i think i over heard a guard saying something about a 3rd theme park but i dunno what ever it is looks pretty good sized i guess they took out that last remaining original disneyland parking lot to put this new section in and i i believe its set to open in 2012

  3. Yes, they are. It's a new "Cars" area. They are rebuilding the city in "Cars" and will have rides to go along with that. BTW, how was the World of Color display?
